Boomers are booming their way out of the workforce, making room for the next generation of corporate crusaders. 🤠💻 Job and recruiting website Glassdoor just released their top list of jobs for Gen Z.
And don't assume all Zoomers are lazy. According to a recent poll, many of them are afraid to take a lunch break. 😱🥪 That's not a free pass to be a horrible boss.
Here’s five of the top jobs for Zoomers:
- 💼 Corporate Recruiter - Corporate recruiters spend their days networking with new talent and help managers find the best candidates for the job. Companies are working hard to bring more Gen Z employees into the fold. Who better to recruit them than one of their own?
- 🤳🏾 Social Media Manager - Zoomers grew up on social media, so running a company's official social media account is second nature. Today's social media platforms are constantly changing and we can't leave it to a Boomer to keep up with the algorithms. A Gen Z social media manager speaks the language…and knows how to convert a Word doc to a PDF.
- 👨🏼💻 IT Specialist - Like social media managers, today's IT specialists have to keep up with the pace of tech, which is running at lightning speed. Gen Z was born into the internet age and many don't know what the pre-smartphone days were like. Depending on the actual job description, IT specialists can do anything from troubleshooting computers for a company's employees to developing in-house software programs.
- 🙋🏻♀️ Account Coordinator - Account coordinators make sure a company's customers are happy with their products. They're also the point person if anything goes wrong and are the first to let customers know when new products hit the market. There are a gazillion software companies these days, and a friendly Gen Z account manager can talk the talk and walk the walk.
- 🧮 Credit Analyst - Zoomers with a passion for numbers are trying their hand at credit analyst jobs. A credit analyst usually works for a bank or a lender and assesses potential customers to see if they're credit-worthy. Financial institutions use the latest and greatest tech tools to run risk analyses, and a Gen Z credit analyst could probably do that with their eyes closed. While making a TikTok.
🔥Bottom line: These jobs are more on the white collar side, but don't forget about the blue! Manufacturing is making a comeback, so don't sleep on a job in the trades.
