Wells Fargo's Getting a New Tech Hub in Ohio with Jobs Galore

Fun fact about Wells Fargo: the bank is known for its stagecoaches that carried gold in the 1800's! 🪙🐂 And here we thought their logo was created by a huge Oregon Trail fan. You have died of dysentery. 🪦

If you've ever wanted to hop on the Wells Fargo stagecoach and you're a tech genius, this might be your moment. 💡 The bank is setting up a new technology hub in the Buckeye State.

 

Here’s Five Fast Facts on Wells Fargo's new jobs:

  1. 🥓 Bring Home the Bacon - The banking giant's new tech hub will create an estimated 585 jobs with an average wage of $60.10 an hour. Not too shabby!

  2. 🤓 Get Your Nerd On - The jobs will be information technology and software developer positions. Time to alert the nerds in your friend group.
  1. 💸 Love a Good Tax Credit - This new project was one of four that was just approved for state tax incentives by the Ohio Tax Credit Authority. The tax incentives total an estimated $30 million.
  1. 🏦 Banking Heaven - The technology hub will be Wells Fargo's first major investment in the central Ohio region. The area is home to other big banks and insurance companies, including Huntington Bancshares, Nationwide, and JPMorgan Chase.
  1. 🏧 That's a Lot of Stagecoaches - Wells Fargo currently has over 8,400 locations and 13,000 ATMs. The company also has offices in 42 countries and territories worldwide.
