Try This Money Saving Grocery Hack

We’re pretty organized when we hit the grocery store. We always put all of our eggs in one basket! 🍳 Hey, do you know why the tomato turned red in the supermarket? He saw the salad dressing. 🍅😱 We’re here all night, folks.

We love to make you laugh, but today’s grocery prices are no joke. Luckily, we’ve got a brand new way for you to save. 💰

Here’s Five Fast Facts on a new way to slash your grocery bill:

  1. 📈 Creepy Costs - The talking heads say inflation is cooling down, but high grocery prices continue to be a burden. Between May and June, food prices increased by 0.2%. From April to May, they creeped up by 0.1%. That may not seem like a lot, but over time it sure does add up.
  1. 🛒 Supermarket Sweep - A new grocery shopping strategy just moved into town and is making its way across social media. The 6 to 1 grocery method is a simple, cost-effective way to buy those necessities. When you hit the supermarket, aim to buy six veggies, five fruits, four proteins, three starches, two sauces or spreads, and one “fun item.” Because we all need a little treat.
  1. 📝 Planning Mode - The method is pretty simple, but a little pre-shopping planning goes a long way. Think about the meals you’d like to make for the week to give the method some structure. You could also focus on only buying what’s on sale. The beauty of the 6 to 1 method is you can customize it to meet your family’s needs and preferences.
  1. 🤔 Wiggle Room - If you have extra items on your list that don’t fit perfectly into the method, don’t stress. Do your best to stick to the strategy and incorporate your purchases into the plan. The point is to focus only on what’s essential and skip the extras.
  1. 👨🏾‍🍳 Yes, Chef - The 6 to 1 grocery method went viral on TikTok, thanks to its creator, Chef Will Coleman! Check out this video on the strategy to learn more. Happy shopping!

🔥Bottom line: These days, we’re stretching our paychecks every way we can. High prices mean they’ll need to go that extra mile. Speaking of high prices, electricity costs are on the rise, too. In this article, we break down why that’s happening.
