Tools To Avoid Overspending On Dumb Things

When you’re doing something financially dumb, you should stop. Your pocketbook will thank you! Unfortunately, much of the time we don’t even know that we’re doing something dumb, so we need a little light shed on the situation. Well, good news, my overspending friend, we’ve got some simple tools that can illuminate your way!

Here are Five Fast Facts on tools for being less dumb with your money:

  1. 🚙 Car Insurance - Car insurance costs have skyrocketed lately. We’re sure you’ve noticed. A website called Insurify aims to fix that by showing you a truckload of options in one shot so not only do you save time getting pricing, but customers save an average of almost $1000 per year! Pocket that cash and go for a drive!
  1. 📦 Amazon - Who doesn’t shop at Amazon? Their volume brings lower prices on a lot of stuff, but there are times when you overpay even there. Capital One provides a browser tool to help you sniff out those times, check competitor websites, and tell you where you can actually find the best price. Take that, Bezos-land!
  1. 💳 Credit Cards - If you want to see criminal brutality, check out the interest rate you’re paying on your credit cards! They often top 20%, and can go as high as almost 40%. AmOne offers a different option, where you can get a low-interest loan to pay off your high-interest cards, and then make one single payment each month, allowing you to pay them off even faster!
  1. 💻 Internet - Internet service is pretty much a necessity nowadays, but home Internet is getting more expensive just like everything else. Metro by T-Mobile offers 5G high-speed service for as little as $40 per month (if you’re eligible)! There’s no credit check, deposit required, or contract, and you can even get your current service paid off to allow you to switch.
  1. 💲 Cha-Ching - Sometimes you just need to earn a bit more cash each month. There are lots of ways to do that from the comfort of your own couch. InboxDollars pays you to watch movie previews, Kashkick gives you cash back for writing reviews or surveys, and YouGov pays you for your opinions about current events and politics. So fluff those couch cushions and get busy!

🔥Bottom line: Whether you bring in more cash or keep more of what you’ve already got, it’s still a win! Stretch those Paychecks further by cutting down your dumb overspending!
