Time To Start Thinking About Fall Getaways In The US!

As summer comes to a close, it’s time to start thinking about fall vacations. Sure, the kiddos are only just now getting back into school, but you know you’re already feeling the need for a break, aren’t you? 😉

There are so many amazing places to visit in this country! We couldn’t begin to capture all of them, but we’ll highlight a few that might be a bit less commonly thought of. There’s gold – in the form of priceless time and memories – to be found in all of these!

Here are Five Fast Facts on awesome fall vacations around the US:

  1. 🌊 Seattle - Sure, it’s a big city, but being in the upper Northwest means a lot of folks don’t think about it much, and that’s a shame. The romance potential is off the charts, with farmers’ markets, restaurants featuring local ingredients, hiking, water related activities, scenic parks, and more. There are enough museums, sports venues, concerts, and of course the Space Needle to keep you busy if you prefer a faster pace. And don’t forget about the original Starbucks restaurant, still in operation in Pike Place Market.
  1. 🍪 Door County - This area in Eastern Wisconsin provides stunning views of Lake Michigan, and historic places like King Island Lighthouse. There’s hiking, boating, fishing, picnicking, and pretty much any other outdoor activity you can think of. Two words about Door County: Cookie Maze.
  1. 🌳🏠 Dallas - A fall visit to this great city finds mild weather, fewer crowds, and huge events like the Texas State Fair. There’s more great food than you can shake a stick at, whether seasonal or not, and activities abound for all tastes and preferences. Also, where else can you stay in a luxury treehouse with a lake view?
  1. 🎈 New Mexico - Visit in October to check out the world famous International Balloon Fiesta, the biggest hot air balloon event in the world! Also stop by some of the terrific museums highlighting local history, art, and culture. If you’re looking for something a little more modern, then visit the filming locations for hit shows such as Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul.
  1. 👻 Charleston - This South Carolina city is one of the best places to visit in the South! The beautiful weather means idyllic scenery on gaslit paths for romantic strolls and historic walking tours, or get down to business on a pub crawl. For a thrill, be sure to experience some of the best haunted houses and tours in the country! And of course, the Southern cuisine is not to be missed!

🔥Bottom line: The list actually goes on and on…and on! There’s such a rich variety of places to visit, and the fall is one of the best times of the year to do it. So have the grandparents cover for you, and get out there and see this amazing place we call America!
