The Five Fun Winter Events in Wisconsin

It’s been a weird winter so far here in Wisconsin and it may be leaving you a bit confused about what you can possibly do for fun. Don’t worry, we have plenty of unique activities to keep you busy.

 

Here’s Five Fast Facts About Winter Activities in Wisconsin:

  1. ❄ ️ First Tracks Fridays - This unique event sees our state’s ski resorts join together into a winter Voltron. Every Friday until the end of the ski season, participating resorts offer unique discounts, prizes and more for visitors.
  2. 🌨️ Cascade Mountain - You want fun? Grab a tube and glide down a 900’ chute. When you’re done, climb aboard the magic carpet ride back to the top and go again.
  3. 🏔️ Bigfoot Zipline - You read that right! This winter zipline tour is made up of 6000’ of lines that go through wooded areas around the Dells. Bear in mind that there are no promises of sasquatch sightings.
  4. ⛄ Snowshoe Nine Mile - Located in Wausau, Nine Mile Forest provides a beautiful trek for snowshoeing. If you’d prefer to keep it quick, they also offer a four mile trail. 
  5. 🥶Ice Castles - Take an unforgettable tour through illuminated Ice Castles in Lake Geneva. This annual event is best visited just before sunset so you can experience things in daylight and after dark.

🔥Bottom line: Clearly winter fun doesn’t mean being cooped up inside a water park in the Dells. There’s plenty of fun to be had across the state until the spring thaw.
