The Best Side Hustles for 2022

A side hustle isn’t just for them young folks, unemployed folks, or Van McCoy… turn your commute home or Saturday afternoon into something that gets you a little closer to your financial goals (like a new toy or retirement) in 2022.

Here’s our top 5 Side Hustles for regular people:

  1. 👨‍🔧🛠️Offer a Service - Can you tolerate dogs? Use a screwdriver? Paint walls? It’s easier than ever to make money by offering simple services. You can sign up for online marketplaces like Task Rabbit , Care.com, or Thumbtack and fulfill job postings for basically anything.
  2. 🚗🥡Food Delivery - Why not make your trip to the  grocery store also get you paid? Grocery  delivery can be a great side hustle - sign up onInstaCart, Shipt, or Kroger. If you want to deliver food from restaurants then check out UberEats, DoorDash, or GrubHub and make upwards of $15/hr.
  3. 🚌🚸Anything education related - You might not be a teacher but you could still get a side hustle working any of the dozens of jobs that make up the education related professions. We’re talking teacher’s aide, food service worker, bus driver, crossing guard, sports coach, or substitute.
  4. 🏠🛻Rent Out Your House or a Room! -  You know that spare “exercise room” you use to hide all your unfolded laundry? What if it could make you an extra $500/month? (Finally… something working out about that room) Plug in your location here, the number of guests you can host, and how much of your home you can rent out on Airbnb's website, and they'll show you how much you might average in your specific area.
  5. 🙈🩲Sell Stuff Online - One person’s old clothes is another’s new swag! Sell those pants, and other clothes, that you’ll literally never fit into again (read #4) on websites like Poshmark or thredUP. Have nothing but threadbare t-shirts and underwear older than your grandchildren? . Maybe you can sell some of those old electronics (there’s a market for that Walkman!), appliances, or any crafts/handmade items on Craigslist, eBay, Etsy, or Redbubble.

🔥Bottom line: Don’t start all of the above ideas at once… otherwise you risk trying to learn too many apps and sites at a time, getting overwhelmed, and getting all headache and no hustle. Good luck and may 2022 be the year that puts a little hustle in your Paycheck!
