Greta Thunberg might be spending her spring getting arrested in the Netherlands, but we’re over here planning some lighter activities to enjoy the season. 😆🌷
From golfing with the guys to winery tours with the gals, PA has a springtime activity for just about everyone! ⛳🍷
Here’s Five Fast Facts on where to enjoy the spring season in PA:
- 🍇 Merlot Can You Go - Calling all wine lovers! Grab the girls and plan a trip down the Mason-Dixon Wine Trail. Start your voyage in York County and hop through six different vineyards in Hershey, Gettysburg, Lancaster, and south to the Mason-Dixon line. Make sure to hit up one of the many festivals and concerts planned throughout the year.
- 🏙️ Skyline Saunter - If you’ll be in Philly this spring, don’t forget to take a stroll down the Schuylkill Banks Boardwalk. It’s part of the larger Schuylkill River Trail and it runs from Locust to South Street. Grab your bike or walk with the family and check out some of the best skyline views the city has to offer.
- 🐦 A Little Birdie Told Me - In Western PA, head to Succop Nature Park to get in touch with your nature side. Pack a picnic and enjoy 50 acres of woodlands, trails, open natural spaces, and ponds. If you’re into bird watching, the park offers a Birds and More Nature Walk every Thursday morning.
- 🚲 Cycle Sesh - For a more active adventure, check out The Greater Reading Trail System. Whether you’re a beginner or a pro, these trails are heaven for PA bikers. With over 125 miles of trails across five major preserves, who knows what you might find! When you need a break, stop off at one of the restaurants along the way.
- 🏌️ Springtime Swing - Working on your golf game? Spring is the perfect time to swing those clubs in the Keystone State. PA has some pretty iconic links to try, like Foxburg Country Club, the oldest course in the country! Wanna channel your inner Arnold Palmer? Stay and play at Latrobe Country Club where The King himself called home.
