RTO? STFU ASAP LOL WTF

Remember when corporate America was screaming about getting people back in the office after the pandemic? Turns out Return to Office (RTO) mandates aren't going so well. In fact, it’s hurting everyone, including the companies!

 

Here’s Five Fast Facts About The Harmful Effects of Return to Office Policies:

  1. 😤 Peace Out - Turns out that 42% of companies with an RTO mandate are faced with a high level of employee attrition, and 29% are having trouble recruiting. Talk about a morale and productivity killer.
  2. 🤬 In-Flexible - From there, 76% of employees said they’ll look for a new position if their company ends flexible scheduling. In other words, three-quarters of the employees in almost half the surveyed companies want flexible scheduling and will leave if they don’t have it.
  3. 😱 No Thanks - Job seekers are sticking to their guns: 42% say they’ll reject any position without a flexible setup and say it’s the same as accepting a 3% pay cut.
  4. 😵‍💫 Burnt - One survey shows Return to Office (RTO) mandates are causing burnout. Employees are mentally checking out and start developing the intent to quit and go elsewhere. See Fact #2 above.
  5. 🥸 Course Correction? - Choice is a big factor here. Employees who say they’re given the option to return to the office say they’re much happier when they’re forced to return. 

🔥Bottom line: Post-pandemic it’s clear that a portion of corporate America refuses to listen or learn. It’s that simple. If you’re not in the office, you’re not working (and that’s despite all the data that says otherwise). If these trends continue, a lot of office buildings are going to be empty not because of remote work, but because of a lack of employees.
