Exit polls give us a good pulse on how the nation feels about all sorts of things. We’ve rounded up some paycheck-worthy stats right here. 👇
Here’s Five Fast Facts on exit polls and your paycheck:
- ⏳ Time Traveling - Compared to four years ago, 24% of voters said their family’s financial situation is better today. Roughly 46% said it was worse and 30% said it stayed about the same. As far as inflation goes, 22% of voters say it’s created a severe hardship for them and their families.
- 💲 Econo-My-God - When it came to the economy, America had an overall negative look on how things are going. Only 31% of voters rated things as “Excellent/Good” whereas 68% rated it “Not so good/Bad.”
- 🧑🏭 Unions In the House - Unions were a big deal this election and an important voting bloc. Exit polls show 19% of voters came from a Union household. Out of those voters, 53% chose Harris and 45% chose Trump.
- 5️⃣ Top Five - What were the five biggest issues that influenced who people voted for? Here’s the scoop: 34% the state of democracy, 32% the economy, 14% abortion, 11% immigration, 4% foreign policy.
- 🏘️ Demure Demographics - By area, suburbanites made up just a little over half of all voters (51%). Urban voters made up 29% and rural voters 19%. By total family income, 60% of voters made over $100,000 and 40% made under $100,000.
