If fun has a name, it’s ninth is Minnesota. That’s right, Minnesota has been named the 9th Most Fun State in the country!
Here’s Five Fast Facts About Minnesota’s Fun Levels:
- 🎉 Top 10 - The list of fun states was compiled by WalletHub which used 26 indicators of an affordable good time. They include things on a per capita basis, like movie costs, the accessibility of national parks, and nightlife.
- 🇺🇸Go West - California tops the list, with West Virginia coming in dead last. Which should really be no surprise.
- 🎭 Song and Dance - For their individual per capita criteria, we placed third on the list of performing arts theaters! We landed fourth for the variety of arts, entertainment and recreation establishments. We placed fifth on the list of state and local expenditures on parks and recreation.
- 🌨️ Standout - Our neighboring states are all big losers, with Wisconsin at 14, South Dakota at 31, Iowa at 32, and the desolate hell that is North Dakota at 35.
- 🛥️ Payoff? - Minnesota has recently been putting more effort into making the state a top 10 vacation destination. It’s too soon to say if it’s working or not, but this should be considered a big win for our tourism department.
🔥Bottom line: We’ve all seen weird top 10 lists, but this one is probably in the top 10. But information like this can only be good for the state. If it brings in more people looking to have fun, then it brings money with it.
