Highest Paying College Majors

One of the best tried-and-true methods of earning a nice Paycheck is a strong college degree. But with so many majors being offered it can be hard to know what to choose. 🤔

We can’t help you decide what would be the best fit for you, but we can tell you which majors currently pay the best according to recent surveys and polls. 💲 Just because it’s so exciting, we’re going to give you a bonus extra in this one.

Here are SIX Fast Facts about the highest paying college majors:

  1. 🚗 Rev It Up - If you’re a grease monkey, have no fear of a high tech future (potentially filled with EVs): automotive engineering is #46 on the list, with a median salary of $74k. No requirement to have clean hands (it’s probably more street cred if you don’t, in fact).
  1. 🏗️ If You Build It - If you like designing and creating things with tools like 3D printers, you should check out plastics engineering. It’s #32 on the list with a median salary of about $77k. Amazing what it pays to make something out of nothing!
  1. 🏨 Have A Pleasant Stay - The hospitality industry is a solid choice, too. Running a hotel comes in at #47 on the list with a median salary of $74k. You decide if it’s worth the headache of dealing with customers.
  1. 🩺 Say Ahhhh - Medicine is always a lucrative field, so we’d be silly not including at least one health-related job here. A physician assistant is #2 on the list, with a median salary of $105k. Since you usually get what you pay for, we’re more than fine with paying medical people lots of money!
  1. 📦 One Step Removed - In this age of online shopping, packaging science lands at #35 on the list with a median salary of $76k. Similarly, welders make good money but so do the people who design welding techniques, processes, and equipment! They come in at #16 with a median salary of $81k. We’ve never even heard of these jobs before, but those are some good Paychecks for little known work!
  1. 💰💰 King Of The Hill - Topping this year’s list is, not surprisingly, electrical engineering and computer science, with a salary just under $120k. When you have “smart” toasters and light bulbs all over the place, it’s pretty much a foregone conclusion that this would be in demand.

🔥Bottom line: It’s up to you to pick work that will make you happy and give you the life you want. But sometimes a little bit of information at the right time can help you pick a direction that will help. Now go get the Paycheck you want!
