Just because it’s getting cooler doesn’t mean it’s time to go indoors! There’s so much great stuff that happens in the fall in Washington State, and you’d miss a lot of it if you weren’t willing to get out into the world. In fact, there’s way too much to cover all of it, so we’ll just start with a few suggestions of some of the best fall activities, and let you and your imagination run wild from there.
Here are Five Fast Suggestions on fall activities in Washington State:
- 🍗 Festivals - One of the most fun things you can do is to hit some of the festivals that happen all over the state. The best part is that you can find one that best fits your interests, whether that’s art, apples, chocolate, or any of a hundred other things (including cider!).
- 🍎 Foods - It wouldn’t be fall without some of those special fall foods! This state boasts some of the best local produce in the nation – apples and pears, for example – and local restaurants often serve fall specials with the best of it. And don’t forget the mushrooms, either!
- 🍂 Foliage - We’ve got some of the most spectacular visuals in every corner of the state, and there are plenty of places to get a good look at it. You can hike, bike, take a train, or just hop in the car and drive…the eye candy is everywhere.
- 🌲 Forests - The forests and national parks of Washington State are more stunning than a taser this time of year. Whether an urban garden or unspoiled mountain range, we’ve got it all, and it’s all worth looking at. If you want to get up close, lace up your boots and take a hike.
- 🏈 Football (And Other Sports, Too) - To be fair, the great outdoors isn’t the only thing worth viewing in the fall. If your favorite climate is the competitive indoors, well, we’ve got that, too. Football is in full swing, and both the Huskies and Cougars are ready for you to tailgate! Or you could check out the Seahawks!
🔥Bottom line: So you see, fall is really not the time to slow down! Get out in the world, see what’s out there, and enjoy it! We’ve got great stuff and it deserves to be admired. You probably already know that if you live here, but still…it never hurts to get a nudge here or there, right?
