If you can’t think of anything good to do in Michigan this time of year, then you’re just not trying. This state is jam packed full of amazing places and events! The hardest part is narrowing down the list, but here’s a good start with some awesome suggestions.
Here are Five Fast Suggestions on great fall activities in Michigan:
- 🍂 Fall Foliage - It may be cliche, but there’s a reason so many places in Michigan are known for their amazing fall colors - it’s worth it! The Covered Road to Freda, Brockway Mountain Drive, Pierce Stocking Scenic Drive, and Edward Hines Drive are all amazing, and well worth the time!
- 🍎 Get Your Produce On - If you want to get a little more hands on, hit up one of the many pumpkin patches, apple orchards, or corn mazes around the state. You can pick your own produce, enjoy the great outdoors, and have some fun all at the same time!
- 🌊 Water, Water, Everywhere - It’s Michigan, we have a lot of water. And it’s a great time of year to explore it! Check out the Au Sable Lighthouse (or one of the many others), do some fishing at Chippewa River or Port Crescent State Park, or check out some of the 300+ amazing waterfalls all around the state.
- 🍗 Get Festive - Fall festivals are all around, and they provide some of the best (cheap) fun for everyone, whether you’re flying solo, on a date, or out with the family. Dates vary, so check out the ones nearest you for when they happen.
- 🏈🏒🏀 The Crowd Goes Crazy - If indoor competition is more your speed, we have that, too. Whether it’s cheering on the Wolverines on turf, the Red Wings on ice, or the Pistons on the hardwood, this state does not disappoint when it comes to big time sports.
🔥Bottom line: And this doesn’t even include things like brewery tours, haunted houses, art exhibits… Like we said, there’s so much to do here, if you can’t find anything good you’re not trying! And most of these things won’t put too much of a hurt on your Paycheck, which is the best part of all. Enjoy!
