Good Coffee = Good Employees

Want a cup of coffee from the machine at work? I don’t either. It’s made with cheap grounds and nasty water. You probably have to stick a dollar in a can to get a cup, too. Turns out that kind of coffee says a lot about your employer. But if you get the good stuff for free, it shows your boss cares.

Here’s Five Fast Facts About Good Office Coffee:

  1. ☕ Java - Free coffee makes people happy and there’s concrete data to back it up. A total of 843 workplaces were surveyed and 89% of them said that free coffee makes them happier and productive.
  2. 🕒 Joe - Additional surveys show that the average worker spends 50 hours a year stopping for coffee at an average of three times a week. They also buy two drinks, for a total of $16 a visit. That’s a total of $2,800 and 50 hours a year.
  3. 📈 Mud - Great or even good coffee increases productivity. It gives employees a quick break and a nice caffeine boost. It also encourages employee interaction.
  4. 🚗 Cuppa - It’s becoming an actual attractive job benefit for workers. A surprising 80% of workers said free, quality coffee would encourage them to return to the office rather than work from home.
  5. 🏥 Brew - It’s also a health benefit. The Johns Hopkins Institute says coffee improves a person’s life in a variety of different and impressive ways, including improving your liver. So all that hard drinking you do from job stress can be offset with a cup of coffee.

🔥Bottom line: Once again, this is a case where coffee drinkers are having to spend the money they earn to make more money for their company. It’s a small cost for employers that can have a majorly positive impact on their workforce.
