Speaking of factories, manufacturing has been top of mind over the last several years as the government and big companies work to boost the economy. The latest jobs report shows the manufacturing sector growing faster than Elon Musk's list of haters!🤬🗒️

Here’s Five Fast Facts on the latest report:

  1. 🦺 Run Those Numbers - According to the official October jobs report, 261,000 jobs were added to the US economy. That puts the 3-month average to 289,000 jobs a month. Average hourly pay is up 4.7% compared to last year's numbers.
  2. 🥇 Made In the USA - In October, manufacturing saw an increase of 32,000 jobs. To date, the sector has added a whopping 367,000 new jobs in 2022.
  3. 👩🏻‍💻 So A-Durable! - Durable goods manufacturing industries in transportation equipment, computer/electronic products, and fabricated metal products each added 5,000 jobs in October.
  4. 🦠 What Pandemic? - As of October, durable goods manufacturing job numbers are now higher than they were before the pandemic. Earlier this year, non-durable goods manufacturing hit that same goal. We're back, baby.
  5. 🪵 How Much Wood Could a Woodchuck Chuck? - Even though manufacturing got a major boost overall, there were three industries that didn't grow in October: furniture, electrical equipment/appliances, and primary metals. Wood products experienced a 1,000 job decline.

🔥Bottom line: More manufacturing on US soil is a win for the economy and hard working Americans looking to put their skills to good use. It's also good for the younger generations to see that a career in trades could really pay off!
