More good-paying automotive jobs are coming to Michigan. Here's what you need to know.
Here's Five Fast Facts …… :
- 🚗 ⚙️ Vroom Vroom - Bleistahl North America makes powder metal valve train components that are sold to Ford, General Motors, and Stellantis. For those who haven't been keeping track of the never-ending changes, Stellantis is the new-new Chrysler.
- 🌧️💲 Making it rain - The $8.7 million investment will bring in new equipment and add a fourth shift, resulting in 69 new jobs being added.
- 🤷 Sorry, Ohio - Michigan won the bid for this project over sites in Indiana and Ohio. (But really, don't we always win when competing with Ohio?)
- 🚧 We've got the workers - Bleistahl says that Battle Creek has already provided a skilled and talented pool of workers. They look forward to employing more local folks with this expansion.
- 🕐 Jobs jobs jobs - Don't want to wait for the expansion to join the team? No worries! There are good-paying jobs available right now. (Just don't list Paycheck Pete as a reference.)
🔥Bottom line: It's always a good day when jobs are being added to the economy. It's an even better day when we can claim victory over the Buckeye State.
