We’ve been recapping lists of best jobs over the last few weeks (check out the link to the list here). Today’s update focuses on business-related jobs. Most of them only require a Bachelor’s degree, a few need a Master’s, and a few don’t need a degree at all. So, there’s something for everyone. We’ll look at the job titles, median salaries, and projections for how many of those jobs are needed in the next 10 years, and group some of the similar titles together.
Here are Five Fast Facts on the best business jobs of 2023 (so far):
- 🎓 Higher Ed Required - Two of these three great jobs require a Master’s Degree, but it’s probably worth it. Mathematicians, Statisticians, and Actuaries all calculate loads of numbers, often for the purpose of helping others make decisions. The salaries range from $96k-$108k, but there’s only about 17k of these jobs. So, it’s a pretty select group. Better love that math…and hope there’s an opening!
- 📈 Improvement Guidance - A Management Analyst and an Operations Research Analyst both make careers out of helping their customers improve efficiency and reduce cost. Both earn in the mid-80s to mid-90s, and there are tens of thousands of them needed in the next few years. You can literally get paid to make the world a better place!
- 💲 Do This With Your Money - If you love telling others what to do with their money, then you’re in luck! Financial Advisors, Financial Analysts, and Accountants all do just that while earning a salary from $82k to $94k. There are about 200k of them needed in the next decade so your opportunities are huge!
- 👪 It’s All About The Peeps - If you’re looking for something a little more people oriented, you could go for a Credit Counselor, Loan Officer, or HR Specialist. They earn from the upper 40s into the low 60s, and projections show a need for at least 40k of them coming up. Help others while earning a great Paycheck? What’s not to love!
- 👍 Manage This - The top earning grouping on this list includes Financial Manager ($136k) and Medical and Health Services Manager ($101k). Both are critical to making their businesses run smoothly, and are projected for at least 120k new hires over the next decade. Bonus: these skill sets transfer to LOTS of different industries, so your marketability is better than a Kardashian. Well, maybe not…but still pretty good!
🔥Bottom line: As with all of our job roundups, there are many more than we’ve highlighted here. The point is that there are so many great jobs out there! Think about your strengths and the things you enjoy doing, and then go looking for something that fits. You may have to work at it a bit, and you may need to build some qualifications first, but if you want a better Paycheck, you need to get a better job…and the good news is that it’s out there waiting for you!
