WI Golf is Tee’d up for Success!!!

Ahhhh golf, the game that so often ruins a perfectly good walk! But seriously, the best part about golf in WI might be the fresh air, the fancy clothes, AND the fact that golf is set up for success!

Golf has seen a big resurgence nationwide this summer after having a pretty steady participation base for the past six years. As a matter of fact rounds of golf have been up year-over-year in every state in the continental U.S. for the past three months. For 2020, the total number of Wisconsin rounds were up almost 13 percent entering September, outpacing the national average, which is currently up 6.2 percent on the year.

But this makes sense because WI golf courses were permitted to reopen in late April. In April, rounds were down more than 48 percent compared to April 2019. But they’ve increased a lot the past four months.

Another key to golf’s success has been cabin fever. I mean, the bars, movie theaters, and gyms were closed. So, what’s more “socially distanced” than a round of golf OUTSIDE!

So, if you want to get some fresh air and burn some calories then check out one of Wisconsin’s many golf courses!
