Heavy rainfall prompts state, federal officials to seek relief for Michigan farmers

As Michigan farmers weather one of the wettest years in state history, state and federal officials are pursuing remedies to provide some relief. Because of heavy, persistent rainfall in much of Michigan and across the country this year, many farmers have had to delay planting their crops.
